Hope International Services has purchased land with a building over there and has set up an orphanage which now has 100+ orphans. Please understand Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world (7th poorest I believe). One forth of their adult population are infected with AIDS. As a result, there are many children homeless, living on the streets, sick themselves. Because of this orphanage, the government is asked that HIS oversee others. "The harvest is ripe, the laborers are few." So while this is a teaching, ministering trip, it is also a time to observe, ask questions, and seek God's wisdom for the orphans and those who minister to them. Give thanks with us for this opportunity and pray for wisdom for the team that they see beyond the hurting faces to the spiritual, educational, and physical needs to the children and staff.
