In May 2008, we purchased an orphanage in Blantyre, Malawi. There are over 100 children housed in this orphanage now. Their parents either have perished from AIDS or starvation, or war. Now we have a building for them with running water. There are matrons, cooks, two teachers and a Director who at present do NOT get paid. In addition, we need to buy food, clothing and provide school fees for the children.

The church in Malawi is quite poor. Most pastors do not have a Bible from lack of money. Yet they are managing out of their poverty to help these children to be clothed and fed. Only two of the children have school fees for the year. The school fees are $180 per year per child.

A gift of $35 a month will feed, clothe, and send one child to school. That totals $420 a year. $20 a month will feed, clothe and provide a child with the basic necessities of life. $15 a month will send one child to school. We will be getting updated pictures of the children on our next trip. If you would like to support a child partially or completely, we will try to get a picture of the child you are helping. We would ask that you not only support them financially but that you promise to pray for them daily.
